Crikey. A politician saying something sensible. That's worrying.

On the other hand there isn't really a group or party that can do a better job, or even do the job.

Am I wrong or does Thanathorn seem to get many more micro phones jammed in his face than when Prayuth does when they speak to the press?

In the land of the blind and corrupt generals, one eye Thaksin stood out.

"...did not believe that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, will be able to guide Thailand into the future..."

It will be impossible for anyone to guide Thailand towards the future, when it is lagging behind, trying to catch up with what advanced nations' consider the past.

Remind me now how many people are there in the Thai armed forces with the rank of General or equivalent? How many have justified this elevation by being tested in battle, organizing a coup against an unarmed peaceful people does not count.

Umh, lots and none!

The threat to democracy and well being of the country is not the military but the corrupt politicians in democratic disguise who use democratic process to get to power and once power in hands behaving as dictator intolerant of different views implementing irresponsible corruption-prone policies for themselves and their crony and many more...

You got things crossed. Threat is hostile act. Democracy has obstacles. Military is a threat. They seized power as against elected power. They then imposed dictatorial power and abuses human rights to stay in power and corrupt blatantly. They can stay beyond the tenures of elected government. They can ripped the constitution and re-write to their advantage and make any amendments impossible. You must have a different definition of threat.

Thankfully there are people like him who can plainly state the obvious.   Life was better under the Shinawatras, not because they were great people, but they had a reasonable vision.   The army's vision is rather disjointed and does little for the average Thai .

This is about the FFP leader and his comments regarding the government.

Not an opportunity to praise the crooked crime family, the Shinawattras, whose only visions seemed to be about themselves, increasing their wealth and cementing their control. What was better?

It's ok to threaten journalists, hound critics and opposition with the law and police agencies, throw lawsuits around to silence the opposition and critics, machine gun someone's mother's house just because they blew a whistle at your ex, and have opponents, innocents, including children murdered as long as you were elected is it Eric?

You have a somewhat warped idea of democracy.

Puzzlingly comparison. I am talking about the system of government violated by the military consistent seizure of power and you talking about the criminal acts of the junta.

The fact that he is banned from political debates proves that Usurper Prayuth is an insecure & frightened manchild.

The Thai constitution isn't worth the paper its printed on.

Thats  harsh, I have actually  run out of  toilet  paper
