Thailand wants money . Well , same as nearly all other countries ... but they should look who has the most spending power first ... ? Instead of making it ever more difficult for wealthy foreigners to invest here , they should revise their immigration and investment laws . If Thailand wants to become a first world country , they should start cleaning up their country of corruption and repression first . Thailand would attract a lot more foreign investment by opening up and drying out their bureaucratic swamp .

Before 2006, Thailand and North Korea had among the best bilateral relations in Southeast Asia, with strong economic, educational, and agricultural ties and cooperation. https://www.eastwestcenter.org/publications/historically-balanced-thailand-north-korea-relations 2

Isaan sailor
Now I’m confused. Should we change Thailand’s name to Chiland or Russland? Obviously, from Bank of Thailand and the current regime’s actions (or inactions if you prefer)—they have no love for western tourists, expats or exports.
