Hi,

We have a nephew and gf (both late 20's) coming from overseas for vacation staying a couple of nights here with us in Saimai. Only 1 night free and had planned to take them to Tawandang Ramintra but it closed for private party.

Anyone know a similar place up this way or at least this side of BKK?

Cheers.

If you are anywhere near Lad Prao, you might try Chai Ka Pak Kai (ชายคาพักกาย) on Lad Prao 83.

I went there with some Thai friends a few years ago and it was very similar Tawandang.  If you choose it though, leave early.  With the skytrain extension going on, the traffic is terrible.

Good question. Soi 55 club lum? The base for the morlam paradise international band. Alsoif like Pattaya the late night Issan 'pubs' where the Issan workers go. Good luck. Ask the motosai guys.
