Morning yall,,

 

Yesterday I was busy taking photos of the goings on with the factory next door.

I managed to get plenty Hi-res shots of the staff coming and going, vans and trucks pulling up outside my house all day

and even managed to a good pic of the dudes red number plate to send to the relevant authorities.

 

All of this was discretely passed onto the head of security for my complex late last night.

 

This morning i received some good news.

The head of the juristic has been down, along with the village headman to speak to the occupiers personally.

They also asked me to join them, which I did.

 

Luckily the head of juristic could speak decent enough english and she explained:

'No longer are they allowed to park their cars in front of, or at the side of my house'

'any noise made by them after 8pm will result in a swift call out of security again'

'any trucks coming into my street must park outside on the main road'

'if I have any further complaints about ANYTHING they do I am to call directly to the head of juristic in future. She will personally take care of it.'

 

Seems as though my constant & persistent complaining (thai style) has paid off.

 

Today is a good day ????

Only time will tell what will happen next.

Well maybe we will get a go fund me page started to help your family pay for your funeral, because given your attitude, it will come very soon.

You would moan just for something to do ! Everything you do is negative. To say nothing of contradictory as you said you were leaving BEFORE you claimed the incident with the neighbours. I have shown ZERO aggression towards them

In fact, I have never even spoken with them until today.

 

It has all been done the correct way and the security & juristic are on MY side!

Good on you. I too shall be filing a complaint about my next door neighbour, but with the local District Office Environment Department. I have done this before and things improved greatly, but she has let things slide again. Tried being nice and friendly and it did not work so got officialdom involved back then and will do so again. 

 

If you don't stand up for your rights, no one will do it for you. It seems to me that some posters would allow others to ride roughshod over them for fear of repercussions.  

Good news for you. I hope it lasts. Not all Thais are vindictive and what they've been told to do is not unreasonable so I wouldn't worry about repercussions.

I am always ready though, should a situation like that arise.

But I think it's safe to say in this instance it will not.

Colin, Thais stand up for their rights too you know. Most Thais would have complained in the same circumstances. You usually know if the neighbour is a psycho and you should leave well alone. The vast majority of times that is not the case.

Glad it all worked out for you, I have a duty-free cigarette smuggling safe house next to me, pickups and SUV’s arrive in the early morning or late at night, although they don’t present a problem, I know how you feel.

I've  found many  Thais actually  cant stop complaining, certainly in our  village they've complained about me many times, from fixing their broken roads to cutting the grass out and replacing it with gravel to keep it tidier, many have nothing to do all day.

Last time I got 2  cubes of concrete delivered to fix a  huge  hole, neighbours complained, head of  village thanked me.

They also have very short memories as after all that they will then ask for 1-2000 baht to fix a  broken water  pump for the  village.

They haven't prevented them from working, have they?  If they have you didn't say that. 

 

I understand that getting blocked in by parked vehicles is a pain but if the premises is next door all you have to do is ask them to move when you need to get out and it may be useful to remember that the road outside your house is the road, it's not yours, or theirs, anyone can park there.
