PHUKET: The Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation will continue their efforts to help replenish Phuket’s main reservoirs despite the ongoing campaign resulting in “little to moderate” rainfall landing in the key catchment areas.

The news came today (Sept 21) as Phuket Governor Phakaphong Tavipatana joined a sightseeing tour to view the reservoirs from above.

Governor Phakaphong boarded a light aircraft at Sanaam Chai field, in front of Phuket Provincial Hall.

Verb. <deleted> in the wind. (figuratively, vulgar) To waste time on a pointless or fruitless task; do something that is ineffective. You can make a complaint if you like, but you'll just be pissing in the wind.

Now the Guvna has seen the empty dam from above he is able to tell us plenty of water for the high season., just as they have been doing since the dams ran dry.

Phuket's reputation or what's left of it will be in tatters come high season.

Hotels will get the water priority and the residents will have to suffer.

People pay big bucks to rent villas and won't be happy when the taps run dry.

I have a few very high priced villas in front of me. Run out of water every day. All have small storage tanks. We have 400,000 L storage. Never run out of rain water storage.

Very low rain this year, and high season (if that is the right expression) will be very interesting. No water will result in a water-truck bonanza who will be the main profiteers from other people's misery.

Phuket is a disgrace, corruption has made this mess, it never changes !
