Really ? You are becoming desperate. My bet is that nothing will come of this 'referral'. Referral by whom?....... Oh, yes..... the odious Sadiq Khan and the GLA....... no vested interest there then !! The Greater London Authority (GLA), also known as City Hall, is the devolved regional governance body of London, with jurisdiction over both counties of Greater London and the City of London. It consists of two political branches: the executive Mayoralty (currently led by Sadiq Khan) and the 25-member London Assembly, which serves as a means of checks and balances on the former. Since May 2016, both branches have been under the control of the London Labour Party. The authority was established in 2000, following a local referendum, and derives most of its powers from the Greater London Authority Act 1999 and the Greater London Authority Act 2007. It is a strategic regional authority, with powers over transport, policing, economic development, and fire and emergency planning. Three functional bodies—Transport for London, the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, and the London Fire Commissioner—are responsible for delivery of services in these areas. The planning policies of the Mayor of London are detailed in a statutory London Plan that is regularly updated and published.
Jonnapat Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Amazing how much Johnson and Trump appear to be related in the ever more nasty nature of today's politics. 1
pedro01 Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 It's obvious what this is - just another attempt to subvert democracy. Politics is well & truly broken in the UK. Those in the opposition should simply let the electorate decide in a general election. That's democracy. 1 1 1

From Fullfact.org:- £350 million is roughly what we would pay to the EU budget without the rebate. The UK actually paid closer to £250 million a week. So. Come the election campaign (or second referendum) the bus is re-sloganed to read "We pay approx £250 million a week...... let's fund the NHS....." Do you really think that anyone but remainers are going to say - "Oh, that's different to last time". Do you really that anyone who voted Brexit last time would vote differently if the figure is changed to one that prevents snowflakes from whining ? No ? Me too. 1

Nice description of someone who has no honor, no values, moral standards, or anything that would make him a democratic leader of a nation. He is dividing the country, spreading hate. He's a real melter. 3

Quote “Full Fact is an independent fact-checking organisation. We make it easier to see the facts and context behind the claims made by the key players in British political debate and press those who make misleading claims to correct the record" - so says fullfact.org, under the bold headline of "Promoting Accuracy in the public debate". Dig a little deeper, and this interesting little non-profit company, headed by Tory Party donor and AnneFreud Centre Chairman Michael Samuel, becomes very interesting indeed. johnnybangkok Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 If proven (and everyone is innocent until proven guilty) then BJ has committed a serious offence that will not only mean he has granted taxpayers money to 'a bit on the side' but has severely tarnished his role as a member of the British parliament. For all those saying it's a storm in a tea cup just because of Brexit then shame on you. We should all be holding our MP's to higher standards and if proven he should resign. I'm not saying he is guilty mind you, but if he is then he has to go. 2

But if it wasn't this it would be something else. With Johnson there are lots of skeletons rattling away in lots of cupboards. The media seem to get stronger and stronger in the way they influence peoples political views. The punters gravitate towards their favourite rag and simply buy anything they say, no matter how biased it is.

The vote was to leave and thats it no deal or backstop. Tired to death of it and it is not helping by keep drawing it out. We clearly dont want to be in the EU so accept the vote. That's not quite right. Uk is divided for sure. The majority of voters opted for leave. However only few were voting. To go the way of peace UK is to find a compromise. Either a general election, a new referendum or a deal with EU. It can't be that a bunch of non-elected selfish elites will decide the future and fate of a whole nation just for fun, egocentrics or ego - trips. They will walk away no matter what will happen to the people. They will enjoy life without responsibility for a nation's future. Money talks. ???? 5 1
