The voters who didnt go out and vote remained in their houses , so that was a vote to remain in itself

How so?

The only way to prove a referendum is to vote one way or the other.

to decide not to vote for any reason is a lost vote for or against Brexit.

If you add the people who didnt vote in the referendum to the Remain partys vote, Remain won the referendum and therefore the UK should remain in the EU .

And if you add it to the leave vote then the Leavers won by a bigger margin.

You're missing the purpose of a referendum. So yes, I agree that my imo is irrelevant. And please stop the personal baiting.

It has failed miserably in its purpose.

No it didn't fail at all.

But who should compromise with who?

Leavers with Remainers or Remainers with Leavers?

???? of course a deal which will keep UK close to EU and avoid the hater's speech by BJ and cronies. A proper deal will even get UK united again. Probably not as long these clowns rule the nation. ????????

Yes, but very likely the result did not reflect the opinion of the electorate, even less so now.

But you have no idea if what you said is true of false.

True that more people voted to Leave than Remain in 2016.

Today nobody has any idea of the result today.

It didn't fulfill its purpose but did create a big mess.

So yes, a big fail.

I guess that you are biased to Remain much as I am biased to Leave.

There is NO simple easy path to success.

But whose version of a proper deal are you talking about? Remain or Leave?

We had a deal.  Brexit was progressing, one step at a time, but people sacrificed a moderate Brexit for their own financial greed or their over-arching ambition.

Good job, Boris.  Now drink the chalice.

Actually there was no deal. It got voted down 3 times in parliament.

The British government agreed a deal with the EU.  And then it was sabotaged by backbenchers who defied the government whip.

Good job, Boris.

I think you have to strike a deal in the sense of compromise.

UK close to EU would be possible with a border in the Irish Sea. So no backstop, no "war" at the border.

It's quite evident that UK needs EU desperately. The other way round  too but not desperate. Only hate will divide UK from the rest of EU. We definitely don't need a Cold War between us. The solution is not with BJ. Narrow minded egocentric polititions have to be voted out and off. ????

Thank god for the back benchers and ERG, who saved us from the treacherous PM and her cabal of Remainers.
Next job is to defy the Remainer infiltrated courts.
Go Boris!

There is a ditch waiting for him.

I for one will add the first shovel of soil and then lead the merry dance upon his grave and having consumed a celebrant flagon of fine wine relieve myself on said space.

I’m seated on Johnson’s right; on his left is a young woman I know. I can’t remember any Bambis that day. Maybe we were the Bambis. More wine is poured; more wine is drunk. Under the table, I feel Johnson’s hand on my thigh. He gives it a squeeze. His hand is high up my leg and he has enough inner flesh beneath his fingers to make me sit suddenly upright. My mother always said: “Wear a badge to the cinema with which to stab the wandering hands.” But this is work, so I am silent.

Keep doffing that cap and bowing while the pound burns......the Tories love their working class supporters easily amused with a big of flag waving, foreigner bashing , how's your majesty stuff. Whilst in private sneering at their gullibility.

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still <deleted> peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

John Lennon was hardly a working class hero even from his early days. A multi millionaire while writing those lyrics, which are not really socialist.
Like most musos and stars, you usually find a comfortable middle class background. Often found opportunity through family connections too.

No. No they don't.

Perhaps in your Benny Hill inspired world this was the norm but not in a business setting where he's an MP and she's a journalist and very importantly SHE'S NOT WANTING OR ENCOURAGING HIS ADVANCES.

I know this is difficult for you old timers but consent is an important part of all of these things.

How does someone hoping to engage in a bonk-a-thon go about setting one up in the 21st century? Does it come (no pun intended) with a risk assessment these days?

The fact that this latest 'revelation' has only taken 2 decades to enter public domain speaks volumes, as does the timing.

EVERYONE can see through it, even the professional victims.

Well it hasn't really changed that much; find a girl, woo the girl, don't be grossly inappropriate by trying to sexually grab them without consent and using your political position to harass them for sexual favours.

I'm guessing this hasn't really changed so much throughout the years but maybe you can tell us otherwise?

It's not about the jig a jigging, it's about corruption. giving public money in exchange for sexual favours.

Shagger Johnson has a cupboard full of skeletons and as prime minister he is now under greater scrutiny. Looks like he threw public cash at the buxom American in return for a bit of how’s you’re father. Is anyone surprised by this revelation? He’ll soon be throwing little Carrie under his lying bus ... shame.

She’ll be fine, the wheels came off that years ago !

Once again that is not correct. The British government did NOT agree to a deal with the EU.

Teresa May was leading the negotiations and when she returned with the EU deal it was firmly turned down 3 times in parliament by politicians of all sides.

The deal had to be ratified by all 28 member countries of the EU. 27 accepted the deal but the 28th, which is the 28th country rejected that deal 3 times.

Therefore despite what you or any Remainer says there was NO WA.

You can blame anyone you like but the fact is that the negotiations were led and controlled by Theresa May who is an ardent Remainer.

And that took over 3 years. Boris Johnson has been PM only since 24th July, yet you expect him to succeed in 68 days when the previous PM took over 3 years to screw up.

Bill, you forgot to add................................  "and with his hands tied being his back.."

I would say the UK government did agree the deal  but i also accept the deal is rejected .

The withdrawal agreement sits in the international plane and since UK parliament inacted the article 50 notice gave the PM a mandate to negotatiate on the UK behalf.
