Does it matter?

Do you think the police or the guards know the law about electric scooters?

Just try.

a) they let you ride

b) they stop you at the entrance

c) they stop you somewhere inside

d) you make an arrangement with whoever wants to stop you

e) you can argue with them about the law

I despise electric scooters. If you are talking about those ones they ride down the sidewalk threatening the life and limb of the general public.

from what i gather, 500w motor is max legal effect,

and any lower then that is holly inadequate.

get a very big battery plenti Ah or regret ever bothered.

ed this is for electric bicycles,

scooters with higher effect will require driving license, helmet, & insurance,

and i think lack of pedals in fact forces

it into laws for mc

Really? been to Seattle lately, or Indy, or NYC, or Fayetteville street in Raleigh, or Venice Beach?

Plus its so aesthetically unappealing, some Millenial in a pork pie hat, Roy Orbison specs, pegged flood pants, expensive shoes without socks and a designer shirt, screaming past you silently with not even a watch out. Right up on par with a tatooed singlet wearing cockney escorting a ladyboy. Shudder.

Literally millions of them in Chinese cities, to own a motorcycle with an engine you have to live a certain distance outside the city limits and restricted on taking it into city.

Silent Ninja's - I call them! they keep you on your toes! :shock1:

I know, I almost died in Shanghai from hordes of them. I like they way they have special blankets they wear to keep warm.

Next time folks talk about the chinese economic model, think of all those folks scootering around in the rain and sleet or the pollution so thick you can cut it in a knife. Then go to a poor town in Arkansas and see all the folks on the dole with their own cars. Driving under blue skies. And no shortage of pork.

My short visit to China opened my eyes. What a house of cards.

What on earth are you on about?

You're first line, are any of those places in Thailand?

That isnt capitalism. Its a modification of Lenins NEP with the same philosophical underpinnings.

I wanted to find out about their viability in the parks really. The pavements in Bangkok are chronically bad for these scooters not to mention dodging pedestrians every 5 minutes. I know parks have security guards that can act above their pay grade sometimes so wanted to know peoples experience.

Ive had a Segway for a year, and whilst enjoying it around the compounds and back streets i don't even bother riding it in the city anymore. I took it to Lumpini park and had no issues, but not tried it in other parks.
