How do you guys let someone know you'll give them a bonus for performing good service?

 

My hunch is to say "If you do good, I give 300 bonus. 1,300 total, ok?"

 

I think this would be clear but only if the word "bonus" is commonly understood.

 

I don't want to talk about tipping. Thais seem not to understand tip etiquette correctly. They think it's something the customer should give when the Thai asks for it. It seems to be seen as more of an expectation or demand in that sense.

Bonus is an English word which has been adopted into the Thai language and is widely undersrood.

However it is pronounced with a Thai pronounciation thus it will sound more like Bonut ,this is because an S as the final syllable will always be pronounced as a T.

Bonus is in the dictionary โบนัส so shouldn’t be a problem. Do good will give bonus, should do it. 

Usually Thais use tip or bonus, should be understood if you say it the Thai way

If you want something different (but i don't know if this works if you say it in english), i've heard Thais say จ่ายพิเศษ = pay special

ทำดีจะได้โบนัส is what I meant.
