Roong Mallikamas will be responsible for financial stability and the corporate strategy group.

 

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) has appointed Roong Mallikamas assistant governor of the central bank, effective tomorrow (November 8).

 

In her new position, Roong will be responsible for financial stability and the corporate strategy group, according to the BOT announcement today (November 7). 

 

Prior to this appointment, she was the senior executive vice president at the state-owned Krung Thai Bank since 2017 and a senior director at the central bank.

    Hope she can stem the tide of ChiCom hot money inflows at central bank.  Her predecessors failed miserably.
