A Happy Message...

Hope she doesn't mind, but wanted to share with those that know Seonai - who left LOS mid-last year and is still ill back in the UK. She sent me a message today from hospital saying:

"Am sick but it's Spring and now appreciate my homeland. I have daffodils, cherry blossoms, sunshine smiles, feta salad, avocado, wild seas, intelligent chat, porchini mushrooms, raspberries and girlfriends... and memories of Asia. Perfect!"

Please get well Seonai and run with the wind in your hair - you crazy woman! :o

Sawadee :D

My days are also numbered and I do ride with the Wind.

We all feel for you dear “Seonai:o , now lets kick our back-sides into gear and live our lives to the fullest degree. :D I do, what about you :D

Yours truly,

Kan Win

Wow, have not seen Seonai on line for ages and ages. Can we get our collective 'Get wells' to her?

Being a relative new guy on the block I don't know her but best wishes and get well soon.

Seonai we all truly wish you well in your ordeal. It is a horrible illness and I only hope you can finally shake it off. We all send our 1.gif

She does seem to be in good spirits. I took her son (who has been staying with me whilst she is in hospital) to see her on Friday & apart from being in the hospital was in good spirits & kicking some medical ass to ensure she doesn't get released too soon (as happened last time, hence her relapse!!)

Plan on calling her today so will pass on your good wishes.

also from me please :o

best wishes and hope you get well soon seonai :D

I spoke to Seonai last night, she is still in the isolation ward at Woolwich, I think the Queen Elizabeth?

She has had a recurrence of her TB and was very sick two weeks ago and so was admitted back into Hospital, apart from that, as Khall says, is in good spirits considering.

Seonai sends best wishes, particularly to Boo who has looked after her son at this traumatic time, even to the extent of organizing the train to Scotland for him.

Good Luck

Moss

Don't really know her, but please pass on my best wishes for a quick & full recovery. Thanks :o

Good to hear Khall & Boo !

Boo: please send her my personal best wishes if you speak to her, will you please?

Mossfinn: please do the same if you find a chance to talk to her again, ok? She will know who I am. I'ts good to hear that her son travelled to Scotland and is hopefully well with Seonai's family (I suppose). Brave and special boy he is of what I understood from the stories.

Seonai says a big thank you for everyones good wishes. She is being tried on a lot of different meds at the moment as some of the pills they have her on make her very ill & vomit but she is still in good spirits.

No eta on her release yet but she is hopeful for next week or the week after. :o

nice to hear some news from you Seonai (thanks Khall, and Boo).

Stay strong and keep finding that happiness. Spring is upon us! :o

Thank you Boo, for the message; sorry, but I didn't visit Bedlam the past few days.

Hope Seonai will recover soonest!

LaoPo

Just had a long conversation with Seonai and she has just left hospital after 2 and a half weeks.

Feeling OK but still a long road, medication, hospital trips and x-rays still to come but maybe, just maybe the beginning of the end.

Bought herself some Daff's, re-introducing herself to her Gerbils and presently enjoying the sunshine, so not all bad.

Passed on your best wishes LaoPo, which she appreciated.

Good Luck

Moss

ah the gerbils, my husband is having withdrawals from them already :o

No worries, LaoPo.

Seonai still needs all the best wishes we can give her, believe me, I have had this illness and it is a horror, and Seonai had it worse than me.

Good Luck

  • 2 weeks later...

Received a text today and I had a long chat with Seonai, who unfortunately is back in hospital.

I have got to admit, her spirits are surprizingly high! or so it seems, but that is probably not the whole story.

To go alongside evrything else, Seonai is now taking a mod-strong painkiller to combat pains in the chest area.

Thought I would just give an update.

:o That's sad news, very sad indeed. Poor Seonai; we were all hoping she would recover bit-by-bit in the past year, since she left Thailand in 2006 but it seems she's still suffering so badly.

I feel for her.

Please send her (again, I'm afraid) my best wishes and hope she will recover!

LaoPo

Seonai, many here think of you and wish you strength and courage.

Please, guys, spare a thought or more for seonai. I am a true believer that a little thought can go a long way, in some form, or manner.

:o

just got back from hospital to see her, she is very poorly & is has pain on her side from her lungs. She is going through an assesment (again) but until they get on top of these reaccuring infections in her lungs she is not going to get better in the way she wants. At least she is happy now that her son is settled with family in Scotland which is a massive weight off her mind.

Will keep you posted.

thank you Boo :o

I really don't know Seonai, she was a member of this clan long before I got here, but that doesn't stop my prayers for her .... I truly hope that she gets through this.

I spoke to Seonai again today.

Now, considering she is still in an isolation ward taking a various amount TB meds, painkillers for a considerable amount of pain, suffering loneliness and boredom and frankly being kept in the dark about what on earth is going on, Seonai has an apparent will to be, well I wouldn't exactly say upbeat, but tenacious in her ability to not let the present problems completely get her down.

She made me laugh consistently over a 15 minute period and I think that is is good for the spirit in times of dark cloud.

I passed on the good wishes of the forum.

Just one other thing I would like to add, a friend in need, is what they say, a friend indeed.

What Boo didn't actually say yesterday, was that after visiting Seonai, she went straight round to her house and fed her pets, who were causing a particular amount of anxiety, and also said she would take care of them for as long as Seonai is in Hospital.

Now apart from all the other help offered, to take anxiety away at a time when you are incapable of acting for yourself, is beyond the call of duty, considering all the circumstances.

Bravo, I say to Boo.

Thank you so much Moss for your detailed message although it seems that Seonai's condition is still so fragile; it's a miracle she seems to keep her humor.

There are a lot of people who really care for Seonai and, you're right, one of the Angels is certainly Boo. I know for a fact that she did the unimaginable for Seonai and she deserves a special chair in heaven (so to speak).

I would like to take the opportunity to draw attention for a few other people who took the same kind of unbelievable care for her last year....Angels like 'Jim', 'Kerrie' and another Lady named 'Donna'; I'm sorry if I forget a few.

What those Angels did for Seonai (AND her son) was a kind of help which is hard to describe. What they did is truly amazing and unbelievable.

They did much more than their utmost to help Seonai in an extremely difficult period, where her life was in serious danger whilst Seonai herself wasn't able to take decisions or even realized that she was on the edge of death...literally.

Those Angels, back on Phuket and the island where she lived, deserve some attention; I'm happy I can give some, here on TV to them.

I am sorry I can't go into further details since it would not be chique to go further into Seonai's circumstances, but I'm convinced Seonai and her Angels know what I mean.

Please, if you talk to her again, send her my best wishes; she deserves it.

LaoPo :o

just been in today to see her again & take her some basics & she is in much better spirits & health than she seemed on Tuesday. She has a dynamic new consultant who seems to be going back to basics & is doing all the initial checks again & Seonai has a lot more confidence in her than the last consultant she had, so fingers crossed.

She was just moved as I was leaving to one of the wards so she is no longer in assesment but when she will get out is anyones guess.

Unfortunatly due to my current condition I am unable to visit often as she may still be contagious but she has a phone charger now so will be able to text or call if things change.

Oh & Lao Po has managed to keep his name out but he can most certainly be included in the angel club, his help was instrumental in getting seonai & her son get back to the UK as well as offering her moral & emotional support. :o

Horrible, indiscriminate disease. I know a lot of good people who have fallen fowl of it and touch wood and whistle, this lady can be added to the long list of those who have fought and won their corner.
