Not sure you can blame food delivery services.  As mentioned above, blame the society of toss it in the bushes( gutter, road, beach, river etc.) and it goes away mentality.

  • Finally ...someone has recognized the real plastics problem....street vendor and restaurant 'take away food',  now the hard part ,changing a Nations habits...

  • How on earth is this going to solve the problem ? All it would do is put the price up. A total ban on polystyrenes would be a good starting place including packing in electrical goods.

Unfortunately, it is often far from thought to action ....

Maybe it's time for Thailand to start recycling centers around the country....   Maybe even official dump sites for garbage as well...  Recycle drop off points and collection services, trucks picking up garbage from actual garbage designed containers...

Thailand has always had a horrible waste management problem

a different delivery system changes nothing...waste is waste whether a customer buys it at/from the street vendor or has it delivered....

there has been no thought on waste minimization of any type of packaging programs....why now the concern?

7-11 does way more business and literally everything they sell is covered in plastic and littered directly after consumption.

Just like ignoring driving safety and driving laws, it will take decades of new generations to be brought up and educated about recycling, littering, etc. No material change will occur before we expire and are burnt to litter the air.
