Thai caption: Sorry, he's not well

A video from a Tesco Lotus store in Korat showed a Thai man try bottle after bottle of spirits and wine.

Eventually after about seven bottles - that he arranged neatly on the floor -  he settles on one to his liking and pays for that.

The video - on Facebook site Korat Next Step - spoke of the government's much vaunted "Taste, shop spend" economic stimulus scheme.

People are supposed to spend more than they taste of course!

Sanook reported that the relatives of the man told the store that he was not right in the head.

They paid the cost of the opened bottles - 1,731 baht in all.

The police said that due to the man's mental health issues it was settled.

The incident happened at the Tesco Lotus store in Bua Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima on November 2nd but has only just come to light.

Right... mental health issue=alcoholic

He looks perfectly sane to me but a little bit sloshed Taste shop spend cant criticize the Govt so we'll just say he is mental.
