And he didn't blow up the whole building, so 500baht and wai will do.

If he did it would have been 1000baht and a wai. He got away lucky.

What are you waiting for, when you think you are doing something against these irresponsible ANIMALS?
The only luck is that nothing more than material damage has happened!
I really don't want to imagine the situation after such a truck explodes!
All vehicles carrying dangerous substances must be prohibited from passing through residential areas!

It's not a gaz tanker, it's a fuel or benzine one

This is a gaz tanker

Absolutely correct, fuel tankers have compartments which faciltate the hauling of different grades of gasoline, diesel fuel and even jet fuel at the same time. They are also not pressurized or unloaded by pumps, gravity only.

I believe it is a tanker full of Tetrahydro-1-naphthol.

Good luck trying to get that to burn.

THIS TIME it may have been...

The article said 'gas tanker', not 'gaz tanker'. And 'gas' is a commonly used abbreviation for gasoline in the US. So nothing wrong with the article.

If it was written/published in America

A person writing anything in English when it is his 2nd language is not obliged to use 'Queen's English' as we might know it. If the author happened to have learned their English from an American, it would be no surprise if they were to use the American vernacular.

So nothing wrong with the article. Only with your interpretation of it.

Is this the USA?  There is no gasoline here (been there - asked for it - had to learn a new term - perhaps the writer should also).

We aren't in the US, if they are going to use the English language then they should use English.

What arrogance. See post #27 (I am British by the way)
