Corruption scandal hits the brakes: Thailand’s bus industry whistleblows dirty dealings
Everywhere... in the US, no one can understand about inflation and the increased costs of everything. They thought that they understood that the inflation was brought about by the pandemic and they allowed for the increases in everything due to the inflation...but now, the inflation according to the bank is just over 2% which has been the goal for years, and yet no prices have gone down. In some instances still increasing. So now, everyone will go on strike to get an increase in wages so the rich folks will increase the prices by that much more...a never ending scheme of the rich to get richer. -

No wonder people like to shop at Lazada.
You are showing that you don't know how Lazada works to get the best deal. Before purchasing always go to the voucher centre and collect the free shipping and discount vouchers. Also check the store to see of they have an additional voucher. It can save you hundreds. Payment method is irrelevant to getting free shipping. -

Avira free virus protection can not be uninstalled
If you have been trying to do what the poster above suggested and it is not working I would suggest trying an uninstaller program. One example which looks complicated but isn't if you just want to remove Avira is https://www.bcuninstaller.com/ Another well known one you could try is CCleaner. if you managed to delete it without those I would probably use Wise Registry Cleaner or similar to clean up any remaining remnants of Avira. -

Pick-up Truck Swerves to Avoid Motorcycle, Crashes into School Van: Six Injured, Phetchabun
Excellent summary. I'd just add, that many inexperienced or just plain bad drivers use their brakes constantly. They haven't realised they're moving relative to other traffic and 9 times out of 10, don't need to jam on the brakes, the engine will slow them sufficiently. And it's often a dead giveaway for the guy on front is on the phone, so he's looking up and looking down, moving around the road and braking unpredictably. Stay well away from these people.- 1

Having kids when old
i was not referring to a young person being compared to other people my younger self was an idiot compared to my today self you cannot have a better understanding of this world when young compared to when YOU are old our understanding of this world typically increases with age. well for most of us it does, you may be proving me wrong though lol Anecdotally you are correct - I know more of the world now, than I did when I was 25. But, there are plenty of travelled 25 year olds with a more nuanced understanding of the that your Pattaya sex-pat who's retired and traveled after working a factory life.... .. as such, I wanted to point out that any generalisation from this perspective is flawed. -

Democrat regime censorship found unconstitutional
Of course the Trump and Co. folks in the world don't want state laws that aim to prevent election-related misinformation, because the Trump campaign has been an unceasing flood of misinformation and false or misleading claims this year. Re the California law: "The law makes it illegal to create and publish false materials related to elections 120 days before Election Day and 60 days thereafter. It also allows courts to stop the distribution of the materials, and violators could face civil penalties. The law exempts parody and satire." https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/california-election-ai-deepfakes-law-potential-legal-challenges/ As reported below, it's a perplexing ruling that appears to give permission for all kinds of election-related misinformation to be conveyed via video format. But the court still ruled for some reason: "Mendez ruled that one aspect of the law did pass muster: If content is audio only, a disclosure must be read at the start and end of the recording, and at two-minute intervals if the recording is longer than two minutes. “The court acknowledges that the risks posed by artificial intelligence and deepfakes are significant, especially as civic engagement migrates online and disinformation proliferates on social media,” Mendez wrote." https://www.courthousenews.com/federal-judge-stops-implementation-of-california-misinformation-law/ The above news report doesn't give any explanation of how/why the judge decided that election-related digitally manipulated (faked) video content shouldn't have the same kinds of disclosure safeguards.- 1

Having kids when old
You have generalised from your own experience and projected that on everyone else. Plenty of kids grew up playing football with their fathers... I remember playing both football and Cricket in the back-garden with my father.... Great years and I look back on them with great fondness. Its too hot to play as much outside with my Son in Thailand, especially in Bangkok... But there are other things we do... swimming, golf driving ranges, ski trips... etc... I couldn't spend all day on the side of a mountain with my Son when I'm 70 years old... neither could we go on a jungle treks in Chiang Ma or Climb Mount Kilimanjaro (which is on of our plans)... Thus being a parent and having plenty of energy would be considered a positive for younger parents and on the negative side for older parents - its fairly obvious conclusion, though it can also be said that there plenty of young lazy parents (fathers) too..... and some older folk who've looked after themselves may have more energy... -
