Thailand has been ranked sixth among 195 countries providing the strongest health security, according to research by John Hopkins University, Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said.

This was announced at the Global Health Security Agenda Steering Group Meeting on November 13 at the office of the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of Netherlands to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium.

“Thailand is the only developing country ranked among the global top ten, as well the first among Asian countries,” Anutin said.

“We earned 73.2 points out of 100. Thailand can be proud to have a strong system of disease prevention and control that is globally recognised,” he added.

What is "health security" ?

Neither the OP nor the linked article references the research by John Hopkins University, so I find all this rather suspect.

You gotta be kidding me.

I mean US before Canada?

Why Thaivisa repeats "news" that was posted here already some time ago?

Anyway I think same as another one wrote here some time ago that they mix up Thailand with Taiwan, where also foreigners can get the same insurance. Thailand is only for the Thai's and take a look in the state hospitals and then make up your mind again.

Private hospitals where they treat you for a few days and then transport you the a state hospital, because they don't have the specialists for the disease you have.

Fake news like advertisements that we read here on TV more and more

It must mean the number of security officers to deal with fighting in hospitals

Something that will remain a mystery to those who lack the basic skill required to search for the term on the Internet.

What? U.S. is first?

Look at how expensive the medical care is here and then try telling me again.

I think these results are U.S. sponsored, sure you could argue "health security" has not much to do with the price of medical care but I think you need to factor in both.

France, Spain and Norway worse than Thailand and the US ?
