The Government was defeated in the House of Representatives last night (Wednesday) over an opposition motion to set up an ad hoc panel to study impacts resulting from the pre-election, post-coup administration’s orders and executive orders issued under Section 44 of the interim constitution.

The motion was initiated by Future Forward secretary-general Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, a party-list MP, on the grounds that the impacts of such orders remain and many are still suffering without compensation or rehabilitation.

236 MPs voted in support of the motion against 231 who opposed, prompting rousing applause and cheers from opposition MPs in the House chamber.

What's wrong with checking the impacts of Prayut's 44 orders? He is clearly a great man, natural leader and someone who loves Thailand and only has its best interests at heart. Everything should be very easy to explain.

to much smoke for now, it will (all) get tossed into the bin and no more talking about it, that's what happen when Prayut was supposed to be investigated for not complying with the full swear in process, same with the junta member was caught lying about his jail time in Australia, same with so many other junta members doing as they please....somebody complain about it, it's on the news for 1-2 days max and all of a sudden no more coverage, the question is, why spend time covering it on the first place knowing it will not be pursued

From a article by a forbidden newspaper by thaivisa(Can't have those unnationalistic media's around when you team up with dinosaur-the nation) updated the situation which the pro gov newspapers yet choose to not do.

"Government chief whip Wirat Rattanaset proposed to the House speaker that the ballots be recounted due to the close call but his opposition counterpart, Sutin Klansaeng, strongly opposed the move.

The opposition decided to leave the floor after Mr Chuan decided to recount the vote, leaving Parliament short of the 250 MPs needed to start the procedure."

If the results don't fit your goal then recount until it does or in worst case change the rules so they give you the advantage.

The dictators like to change the rules after kickoff.  This country is on the edge to become a failed state.

LOL  this is not going to make the boss happy nor is it going to make the MPs in his party happy.  The problem that he has is that anytime he does not have a majority in the house he is going to get hit with motions that can or could cripple him.

Uncle will just ignore it like everything else that is not in his favor ! simple he can even write it off as Fake News now another thing in his favor

Questions are a burden to others.

It's all a bit of an irrelevance really.

The Junta constitution is designed so that anything that the House approves that is anti Junta, is tossed out in the Junta appointed Senate.

Democracy?

....Yeah Right

FFP is already accused of being ชังชาติ (Chang-châat), literally 'hating the nation' but in the newspapers often (mis)translated as 'unpatriotic' . It's clear that the powers that be want FFP gone.

At the recount there were only 92 coalition MPs left. So when the opposition walked out 152 coalition MPs left with them unless of course the government miscounted the first vote.

Far less than the required number.
