Pornthep Srima, 29, was immobile - but furious - behind the wheel. He blamed Google Maps and his GPS for directing him along the line between Lak Si and Bang Khen stations near the North Park estate. Police recorded an alcohol level of 142 mg, nearly three times the legal limit and charged him with DUI at Thung Song Hong police station. Picture: Daily News The railway official said it was 3 am and lucky for him that there were no trains running. Delays were still caused as it took five hours to get the vehicle off the track. Apart from DUI the driver could also face charges for damaging railway property. Mrs and sister yelling at me... 'Why you not drive off the rails??" so I walked back, looked at them, in thru the side window, and replied... " hey you've been driving me crazy from the back seat all day! - let's see you drive yourselves out of this one..." decca60 Posted December 5, 2019 Share Posted December 5, 2019 GPS can be tricky as well. Last week my car GPS wanted me to turn right at an intersection. Problem was that I was reaching a one way motorway which was built in since the last update of the GPS and absolutely no sign prohibiting to take this way....... thanks god I have a bit of a brain and reacted the right way by going left and take the next U turn otherwise !!!!!!!!! Not so long ago a car flew through the top of a tree opposite my house. Driver fell asleep, as they do, pressed his foot down hard on the accelerator and then drove onto the bank on the side of the road which elevated him into the top of the tree.
