That's a lot of showers! Thai man gets 2 million baht water bill

It is well known that Thais pride themselves on taking a lot of showers.

 

But a Samut Prakan man thinks that his water bill might have been.....well, padded!

 

He contacted the "Muang Prakan V2" site to say that he was in shock after getting a demand from the water authorities for 2,289,323.96 baht!

 

He thinks the water board need to check up on this, reported Sanook.

Yep, and he might just be right.

The good news is his neighbour's swimming pool is up and running.

Pay it  in satangs......

When incidents like this occur in South Africa the response is always "pay the bill then we will investigate"!

Usually a Thai just pay it thinking rates have gone up?????

I had a friend who ran a bar. When he had to go back to Australia for a few months, he got one of his Thai staff to look after his house.

He looked after the house very well, including selling the mains water to trucks selling water for Songkran festivities.

Friend came back from Oz to find his water meter had been removed and a bill for over 20,000 Baht, instead of the usual 500 Baht.
