BANGKOK, Dec 15 – Malaysians travelling to Thailand during the school holidays and upcoming festive seasons are urged to take travel or medical insurance to avoid massive medical bills should the unexpected happens.

Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand Datuk Jojie Samuel expected many Malaysians to travel to Thailand especially southern Thailand during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

“We advise Malaysians to be extra careful and vigilant with personal belongings especially passports.

“Get medical or travel insurance even for a short holiday to Thailand. Those with big families can take group insurances. They provide medical coverages, if things happen.

“Do not take it lightly (medical and travel insurance). We don’t want them to fall sick, but often, anything can happen. There are cases of Malaysians being hospitalised,” he told Bernama after attending the Year End Gathering at the embassy here.

Get life insurance for your family as well-sinking boats, break failures, wet roads, micro naps, exploding tires...

Can you imagine if it snowed in Thailand ????

U will still need to pay in cash and collect when u get home and most travel insurance will find a way to blame u and not payout. Don't rent a motorbike if u don't ride regularly at home. Don't swim if u r a bad swimmer. Basically the Golden rule.. If u wouldn't do that at home.. Don't do it here.

Don't take shuttle busses or vans or boats or cross the roads or go to the beach or any islands and don't go diving  and don't wear any jewelery or take anything of value to thailand. Actually just stay home... Lol

"Acts of God" and "acts of terrorism" are not covered.

Watch the Billy Connolly movie where he took on the insurance companies and the Church. Made them pay for an Act of God. Funny movie.
