If you ever toppled over backwards with a heavy backpack you'd never ask again.

to be fair backpacks are very overrated, a suitcase with wheels would be fine instead

  • are you trying to be a cheap Charlie and blaming the taxi for your dilemma ….. Just organise / arrange a taxi and confirm a fair price before accepting …  or walk.

Try a grab taxi, check the app.   Too much hassle getting 10 baht buses and changing etc.   Taxi probably 150-200

  • Are you ultimately heading to Bangkok? Because if you are loaded up, a taxi, all the way, saves a lot of effort.

I paid just B30, pay no more if you can avoid it.

Only way this is possible is with a succession of public baht buses. Can be done for 20 if you're willing to wait for the Pattaya Nua bus to fill up.

feel free to bring and lug around as much luggage as you want...just don't go on  TV and whine about people who are trying to "rip you off" for hauling all that stuff around.

Nothing is lugged around.  It's wheeled to the airport transport at either end, the airline takes care of it in between and if it costs 200 baht to get to the bus station so be it.  I have never mentioned it as a rip off.

The lugging is done by the guys trying to bring everything in a carry on bag and then take half the contents to the laundry every few days, then run to the shops to buy stuff they could have brought if they'd thought rationally.

Not to mention they look pretty dumb with that bag in the airport and especially when boarding.

I took a tax from that area to the bus station for 120 thb. not too expensive. he started at 300 thb but dropped down when i spoke thai

Bury the body on bush mountain in the dead of night, burn the suitcase et voila!!

Halved your baggage in twenty minutes.
