December 24, 20196 yr Popular Post Sitting down eating supper last night, heard a diesel rev up to the max, wastegate blows off, big bang. Silence. Seems the neighbor stepped on the throttle instead of the brake. Knocked down a fence post and a few lengths of bamboo meant to keep chickens in. Neighbors reaction - besides laughter - what is the number ? I.E. license plate number so they can bet on the Lotto Gotta Love it Here !
December 25, 20196 yr Why don't I have such jolly neighbor - several my neighbors just about bickering at everything - especially over my (modest) car engine noise while many locals brap!brap!bang all day long XD
December 25, 20196 yr My chum had a 455ci Firebird with manual trans parked in his garden, bolting the refurbed carb back on. He forgot it was parked in reverse. He leaned through the window to start it, unfortunately the carb idle was set to high, it started in gear, flew backwards through a fence into his neighbours bay window brickwork, my chum and the neighbour were not amused, I was lucky not to be standing behind the thing....????

A life time ago I had on of those 455 SD monsters, it was quite quick for the time, considering its 3 speed slush box, no locking torque converter and only drum brakes in the back - many of today's 4 door sedans will blow its doors off in a straight line, in the twisties, and stop in half the distance.........how rimes have changed ????
