Sure thing! A nice glass of 2010 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, topped off with some Cheeze Whiz. Yum.

Caramelised on top with a blow torch.

Strong Baht is of no concern to the US. They would like strong Baht. In fact some in the US commerce department believes Baht should be 25USD/Baht. Currency manipulation in the US means it is made weaker to harm US export. Also, some ignorant who believes HiSo will park their money outside Thailand but that s what exactly makes a currency weaker. If they buy dollars and park it outside the country, there will be pressure on dollars and Baht will become weaker.  Think of demand/supply, people. Baht is stronger because more people want Baht in exchange for dollars. If elites can make a currency stronger, Argentina or Zimbawe's elites would have dne it long time ago.

So, what is the solution? Yes government can change policies to make it weaker. Fir example, allow 100% capital flights like allowing elites to buy and park all foreign currency they want. Allow exporters to keep their income outside Thailand. That way exporters won't be bringing foreign currencies to the country making it stronger. Reduce import taxes  and pressure people to buy imported goods. Import foreign machinery to improve productivity but Thailand severely lacks  skills. Spend on military hardware and buy from other countries. And of course, rate cut. Which has already been done multiple times.

Yes, and when it's weaker you buy it again, and keep the difference as profit.  That's what currency trading is.

Good news for pensioners. Bad news for anyone looking to repatriate back to their country. Now is the time to cash out.

Correct, if you have cash at bank.

Good luck trying to sell any property or business to get out.

Hi-So's can manipulate a currency, if you are Hi-So enough.

https://www.businessinsider.com/how-george-soros-broke-the-bank-of-thailand-2016-9?IR=T

Comparing George Soros, a genius currency trader to Thailand's hi So are like comparing farangs trying to make ends meet in Thailand with a measly retirement pension with a rich person in their home country who owns  islands in Bahamas to vacation. And George Soros bet billions on Baht weakening based on Thailand's economy and profited from it. That's what hedge fund managers do. He did not make Baht stronger. He anticipated a weaker baht when it was stronger and profitted from it, just like he did in 1992 when he bet against Bank of England.

So, you would agree with me.  If you are rich enough, or your fund has enough capital, you can manipulate a currency.

Let's not forget, Mr. T, a Thai, did alright out of it as well, but I would say that's more like insider trading.

What? Someone doesn't like the 30 billion chinese "products" in lazada? ????

The search engine is dreadful, so many duplicates!

It needs a complete overhaul as it's grown too fast too quickly

Many times the searchengine won't even let me type, it just starts showing all kinds of products that i didn't ask for from laz.mall.

Thank goodness at least one person posting on this thread has an understanding of basic macroeconomic concepts.
