Lawn Mower ideas

Featured Replies

Gents,

Need to buy a new gasoline (not electric) lawn mower. No price in mind but need value for money, with good quality.

Grass won't be too long, although a little uneven in parts, but fairly basic mowing really. Also have 3 places to mow, so mower will be moved by pick up sometimes.

So any ideas or personal ownership of any particular brand or model, available to buy locally in Pattaya would be appreciated.

Thank you.

We have an Asgatec 6.0 HP GM6000, cheap and cheerful from HomePro.

It's been going strong for 8 years now with just the (very) occasional oil change, a new pull cord (handle is now a bit of 1/2"PVC) and a whole one new plug.

I've sharpened the blade a few times (we have more than a few "rocks") but it's worked just fine dealing with our meadow, I really can't bring myself to call it a lawn, it's green when it rains.

EDIT I lied! It's had 200 Baht's worth of new wheel bearings too.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Take a look in HomePro, but beware mostly Chinese poor quality. A mower needs to be fairly hardy as they got banged around... my Lawnmaster CUT 46CM bought there has lasted quite a few years, but I had to do some fixes on it to replace poor quality bits, like the throttle handle and cable. I wish I had bought one with power driven wheels as it is exhausting to heave about in hot weather.
