Immigration visiting non O-A extension holder

Featured Replies

I took a friend a friend shopping and when we came back, Next-door neighbuor told us that about 9am four immigration officers turned up, asked some questions and took pictures outside the house.

In 7 years at the same address my friend never had any police visit.

I am just wondering if any one on non-OA retirement extension had a visit

What general location?

Home visits are not a normal routine for retirement extensions in most places.

Anyone whose falagie living Thailand long stay can have a visit from Thai immigration there's some nasty minded Thais about who telephone Thai immigration offices.

We have had several visits of Immigration police over the years. Nothing to worry if all you papers are correct.

I am on Non-O retirement visa, but that would not matter, I guess.

They just come to verify some details and in our case to chat with my wife and drink a coffee.????

I’m on an OA Extension, got a home visit from Immigration, they booked it and called before arriving ( a couple of times as they got lost ????). A couple of photos with the house number etc and on their way.

They did say they could return at any time but never did.
