Smart phones

Featured Replies

We've always had a cheap Nokia phone just to make phone calls. Now that we're getting older, we're having trouble seeing the buttons and small screen. So, I was thinking about getting a smart phone because it has a bigger screen. When we get a new Nokia, we just switch the sim card to the new phone and it's set to go. We don't want internet or anything, we just want a phone to make calls. I'd like to know if I buy a smart phone, can I just switch the sim card like I do with the Nokia and then just use it to make calls?

Maybe you can, maybe you can't. There are different sized SIM cards these days. But it is not a big issue. Some older and bigger sim cards can be cut to a smaller size with a hand held punch machine that most phone shops would have.

If that is not possible just go to your SIM supplier with old phone, SIM and new phone and have them give you a physically new SIM for a nominal fee.
