hey guys looking for some information for my friend who is about to marry a thai lady and would like to know the process of this could you post all your info,

also could you tell us what the process after that is to get marriage visa as he would like to take his wife home. this is not just another old thai story that farang comes to thailand for 2 weeks and gets married and is at embassy trying to get visa for his new wife.

my friend has been seeing his wife to be for the past 3 years, so any positive info would gratefully be accepted thanks marshall

1) Go to your embassy and get a letter saying -your name, occupation, income and the fact that you're marrried/not married.

The embassy will then notarise it.

You might also need another letter from the embassy saying you give your permission for your wife to (a) use your name (b)not use your name. Also some asset sharing thing. Your embassy should know

2) Get everything translated.

3) Take the orig letters and the translated copies to the foreign ministry to get it notarised by the foreign ministry.

4) Go to the marriage office and congrats/commiseration.

*Depending on the registra office you go to, they might ask for diff stuff, witnesses, translators etc. Go to the office in Bangrak, they do it everyday so its chop chop, double quick time*
