Just a few of the many that will feel the pinch in the hospitality industry. Crime will probably increase.

Very likely. Also there will be derelict buildings all over the place. Only tourism left will be "dark tourism". Maybe they'll include Phuket in a world tour with Chernobyl & co.

Mr Natthakorn explained that there are about 7,000 tour guides registered to work in Phuket,

Of those, an estimated 3,000 are qualified and registered to lead tours in Chinese language, he added.

Feel free to quote the next line from the article.

Well, let's expect an increase in crime ...

For years and years already people are claiming this when something happens. So far it has not materialised, and I don't think this is any different.

They have to take a crash course in Hindi, the Indians are coming! :coffee1:

I still have my old CD of a Hindi language course sent to me years ago when I needed a crash course.

I opened the package and it was a 15 minute CD, [sound/visual] sound of an out-board engine... put-put-put-put-put-put-put with a visual of a traditional head-shake!

Worked a treat, one hour I was fluent!
