What's with the two bike tracks at Mabrachan?

Featured Replies

Had a drive around the lake yesterday and wondered why there are two bike tracks with what looks like a gutter in between? One track is considerably wider than the other.

Jogger track and a separate bicycle, in-line skate and skateboard track.

BTW, you need to get out (of the car) more.

Do you need a jogger track the width of a road, and who the #%* skates or skateboards in Pattaya?  What is me getting out of the car more have to do with my question? I have been several times to Mabrachan since they built those tracks, never seen anyone using them yet.

I live there and trust me they are used, extremely busy most evenings and weekends.

They aren't even close to the width of a road each.

I haven't been of an evening but I have been there on weekends, looked pretty quiet to me.

Probably just NL reminiscing on his skateboarding days in Pattaya and how things could have turned out differently, rather than any misguided judgement on you.

I'm out that way pretty often, very busy late afternoon/early evening my Mrs goes for a ride round occasionally while I'm having a few beers.

It isn't as busy during the daytime, even at weekends, due to the heat etc.

At first I didn't think it would take off, how wrong I was, to be honest, I think it is a good addition to the area and it keeps the bicycles off the road and safer.
