Breaker box look correct?
That it makes no sense inside my box. I'm realizing just how dangerous that situation is. Check this out... Most of the top bar looks like an istall as I said - no outlet grounds so they used the bar for neutral directly violating the neutal to ground rule that should only be at the entry of the building? -

Gifting the Spouse
Wifey called the TRD help line #1161, NOT a local office. Explained I want to gift her a million baht every year, either for Xmas or birthday, into her offshore account in her name. She'll keep it there, and will bring it into Thailand herself when needed, maybe in 5 years, maybe in 10 years. TRD rep says she 'might' have to show the source of funds when she brings it in. A letter from me to my wife, signed and dated, declaring each gift would suffice. Will do more research, of course, but plan will be starting in 2025, 1 million baht equivalent annually into her new brokerage account (Schwab or Fidelity). Print and sign a letter indicating a gift from spouse. She can invest in capital appreciation ETF's that pay little or no dividends. According to Us-Thai DTA, capital gains are tax-free, dividends taxed at 15%. I don't have to worry about exceeding my TEDA when remitting cash to then gift to her, or having to explain the source of funds. She can earn a higher return than fixed account interest, and won't have to pay the obscene fees charged by Thai banks for mutual funds. The only remaining question is how will her remitted funds be categorized. Assuming her gift has increased by 20% or 30%, and she remits a portion of her account balance, how much gift and how much income did she remit? -

Poster of the Year 2024
To be honest, Christmas is home in Norway with family, not here. I have worked offshore for many years, and spent many christmas onboard on a platform in North Sea, and it doesnt feel like christmas even everyone else onboard dresses up, we get gifts, entertainment, a priest comes onboard have his mass, overloaded with food, christmas tree, it still doesnt feel righ. And to be true, for many, christmas is not a good thing, and have no good memories connected to christmas. Also celebrated in Florida, Alicante, Cebu, Dubai, KL , but only home in Norway makes me feel like christmas. For me it is a close family event, that can not be adopted to another place.- 1

I HATE Thai Immigration - 90 day online report frustrations
Come back in 5 years, or so, and let us know how many times your online report application has been rejected even though you still fill out the report with the same info as you did in the beginning. I would say 50% of my online reports have been rejected even though nothing has changed over the years.
