Give virus to pets?

Featured Replies

I was wondering, if the virus came from animals, can people transmit it to their pets? Can it go in the other direction?

Hong Kong authorities are recommending to people with the virus not to kiss their pets, as a dog there got the virus.  (search the story online)

Unknown I guess if they can give it to you, but I would not be surprised.

I read of at least 2 reports of dogs testing positive to SARS-CoV-2. There is no evidence that it makes them sick or that they are contagious.
