who knows how any lives will be saved.

not to mention the economy of the whole world.

people are basically too selfish and greedy for this to work in an open society, it can't be left up to the individual because most don't give a f*** about any else except themselves - perhaps the 'China method' of quarantine is the only effective way though the west will never find out - they'll deal with the deaths instead..

Possibly some "good news" for a change.

An American woman who was near death was given a test drug via intravenous and has responded very well, so if all goes good in further trials we might just get on top of this Covid-19, sooner rather than later.

I am sure there will be in the next weeks at least a couple of times good news that one or the other new chemical helped.

But unfortunately that doesn't mean that there will be any treatment or vaccine anytime soon.

Because maybe the wonderful new medicine is good against virus x but is bad for people with condition y or has the side effect z.

Only long term test will show that. That's one of the reasons why one year is probably as optimistic as it gets.

Do you seriously think the virus will go away if those measures were practiced? Surely not.
