The Department of Health has warned residents in Chiang Rai province that particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter (PM2.5) in the air remains at hazardous levels.

Department director-general Dr Panpimol Wipulakorn suggested that children, pregnant women, elderly and people with health conditions stay indoors to prevent exposure to dust.

If anyone has respiratory problems such as cough and hard breathing or other symptoms such as chest aches and dizziness, she recommended thay they see medical experts.

“Stay in the rooms that are not close to the roads or construction areas, clean the room with water to reduce the dust, close the windows and any access to dust, turn on fans and air-conditioning to circulate the air,” Panpinol advised.

No one with options should stay in the north of Thailand during this half of the year, Nov-Apr.

Any money you save by staying put will be swallowed up by medical costs further down the line.

If you look at AP historical charts, May is terrible as well....

until the first rains come which can be in May or in June or even later...

the gov is completely incompetent as it has no will no desire to problem solve to protect its citizens....

yom,

AP is absolute not relative....your post is exactly why no behavioral change happens ....look it was only 150 at X hour....Exactly how gov mindset approaches it - clueless and hopeless mentality

Between this phenomenon and road deaths, more people die every day than Cocid-19 takes away in a year ...
