Chiang Mai airport closed

For gods sake . My other half is on her way home via Doha from Uk . Just boarded plane to Chiang Mai to be told “we can’t go. They have shut down the airport  without any pre warning “ Not allowing currently flying flights to land !!

Hold on a minute. It's late. Well after midnight. The airport IS closed... for the night.

 

She'll be home some time tomorrow once the airport re-opens (as usual).

What airline is your wife supposed to fly at this time to Chiang Mai? Since she came from Doha I assume she's flying from Suvarnabhumi airport?

 

I see on-time arrivals as far as 11pm at CMX and after that there are/were no flights scheduled as far as I can see so seems weird she'd be boarding a flight around midnight.
