13 new Covid-19 cases bring Phuket’s total to 100

The Phuket Communicable Diseases Committee reported on Friday (April 3) that 13 new Covid-19 cases were found on Thursday, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the province since January to 100.

 

Of these patients, 15 have fully recovered and discharged, the rest are in stable condition but hospitalised, while one is in a critical condition.

 

The committee also said that of the 1,092 individuals under investigation, 985 have tested negative, though 107 are under quarantine in hospitals, 47 of whom are still awaiting laboratory results.

 

The latest 13 cases include a 25-year-old Hungarian man, who has a history of visiting entertainment venues in Kathu district’s Soi Bangla. He began displaying symptoms on March 26 and it is believed that he was in contact with at least 35 people.

 

The second of the 13 cases is a German man aged 62, who had also visited Soi Bangla but is displaying no symptoms and has had no contact with anyone.

 

The third case is a Thai woman aged 24, who works as a hotel receptionist in Patong. She began showing symptoms on March 25 and had been in contact with at least 10 people.

 

The fourth case is a Thai woman aged 56, who works at a hotel in Han sub-district. She had been in contact with a Covid-19 patient and began displaying symptoms on March 14. At least 12 people are at risk of contracting the virus from her.

 

The fifth case is a Thai woman aged 63, who works at a restaurant near Patong Beach and had come into contact with foreign tourists. She began displaying symptoms on March 24. At least eight persons are at risk of contracting the virus from her.

 

The sixth is a Thai woman aged 46 who works as a massage therapist in Patong and had visited Soi Bangla and had contact with an infected person. She began displaying symptoms on March 18. At least five persons are at risk of contracting the virus from her.

 

The seventh is a Thai man aged 54, who works as a welder and had been in contact with foreign customers. He began displaying symptoms on March 18 and has been in contact with at least six persons.

 

The eighth, ninth and 10th patients are closely related to a previously diagnosed Covid-19 patient.

 

The 11th, 12th and 13th persons had been in contact with the Thai man who was found dead on a train heading to Narathiwat province on March 30. They had been in contact with the deceased at a religious ceremony in Pakistan.

What is wrong with them and contempt for foreigners, news flash there tourists and they contracted it from the source
