So, in the spirit of the topic - here I am writing a travel guide to southern Thailand - bored outta my brain - half-thinking that people will be following my directions around like sheep in 6 mths time - I could do with some M&M's right now! :D

* reason for edit = I spelt "right" wrong :o

Im having some random thoughts..

1:There are a few Irish folks in bedders now, and i wish to know, from where does the saying "the luck of the Irish" come from? And, if one were to rub oneself up against an irish person, would some of the luck rub off on them? (im not recommending anyone try this..esp male on male rubbing).

Well you can rub up against me anytime! :o

Wow! Rubbing! What happens to a pussy cat when you rub it the wrong way? :o

They get static and the claws come out.

Not recommended.

Khall, Eek, any of you ladies need a good rub?

Not this Tiger! Rub me up the wrong way and I become quietly animated! Oh, and as a Tiger can't retract it's claws, they are always out!

Khall, Eek, any of you ladies need a good rub?

Everyone is in need of a good rub now and then!

Stroking is more efficient. :o

I like it both ways! :D

Have you seen it done with feet ?? I don't know what method you would call that.. :o

I wish I knew how to embed these vids... ah well having a trawl through my music collection and pulled out The The - Infected,

I haven't listened to it since ooooohhh... ages. Matt Johnson is a fantastic artist and the album is a masterpiece.

I love all the songs on there, but especially Angels Of Deception.

Here's the vid...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ-1TZrh_nA

and here's the lyrics...

Well, it's high noon at the UK corral

And it's high time I got myself back on the rails

I'm the lonesome cowboy ridin' across the range

With just a hand held radio to keep me sane

Ridin' through the FM stations

The tumbleweed, the petrol stations

Will all onboard this Yankee station

Prepare themselves for battle stations

Jesus wept, Jesus Christ

I can't see for the tear gas

And the dollar signs in my eyes

Well, what's a man got left to fight for

When he's bought his freedom?

By the look of this human jungle

It ain't just the poor who'll be bleeding

Most everyone 'round here

Thinks they're something special

That destiny will be kind

While they're digging for gold

Diving for pearls

And aiming for heaven

From this man made world

Well, come on down

The Devil's in town

He's brought you sticks and stones

To bust your neighbours bones

He's stuck his missiles in your gardens

And his theories down your throat

And God knows what you're gonna do with him

"Coz I certainly don't

Jesus wept, Jesus Christ

I can't see for the tear gas

And the dollar signs in my eyes

Well, what's a man got left to fight for

When he's bought his freedom?

By the look of this human jungle

It ain't just the poor who'll be bleeding

Down by the river

I've been washing out my mouth

Coz deep in the heart of me

There's a frightened man breaking out

Oh, I was just looking for paradise

Anywhere in this world

While they're gunning for heaven

From this man made hel_l!

God knows because they don't

Come on down, the Devil's in town

The angels of destruction

The angels of destruction

The angels of destruction

..angels of deception

Now let's all have a good sing song!

The album was released in 1987 alongside a video version with a video for each of the eight tracks, I need a copy of that NOW!

Here's some reviews of it from the time;

"Into stagnant waters, INFECTED surfaces as shockingly as a neon nuclear submarine"

-TIME OUT

"The hanbrake is released, your popcorn goes everywhere and INFECTED drills into your cranium"

-MELODY MAKER

"INFECTED, a series of 8 videos shot in South America, New York and the U.K. is the most provocative, visually intense piece of film ever shot in the name of music video"

-RECORD MIRROR

"At the end of the screening, everybody seemed stunned"

-NME

that is not music - that is sad or so depressing it is sad or or or or get a life, a happy one

^^ Rob, there's - among many others - a great line there, "What's a man got left to fight for when he's already bought his freedom?"

Nice.

Well, in order to embed vdo's:

[ youtube ] everything after the "=" sign on the relevant vdo url [ /youtube ]

TAKE OUT ALL SPACES - I've had to insert the spaces for demo purposes only.

ie: http : // ww w. youtube. com/watch?v=kJ-1TZrh_nA

I copy only the bit I've highlighted in bold ie: kJ-1TZrh_nA

and insert it like so

[ youtube ] kJ-1TZrh_nA

[ / youtube ]

but then without the spaces, giving me this:

NB: to the right of the vdo on the youtube page are two lines, one with the URL (as it is in your address bar) and the second with an EMbed code. You don't need these for anything, except from time to time the vdo uploader will disable "embedding" meaning that said vdo can not be embedded elsewhere.

Ok like this then....

Here's one for Patsy the 'get a life' cat... meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow!

Fantastico! Cheers Kayo.
