Drivers License Renewal

Featured Replies

My Thai car license expires this month and here in Chiang Mai, they completely shut down the office.  Apparently Thai's can renew online but of course, foreigners can't.

Anyone else running into this in other provinces?  They could be shutdown for months.

No way to simply renew online.

Just doing online tutoring/theory test stuff which does not apply for simple extensions.

All offices nationwide closed for driving license affairs (only tax payment?).

Grace period given until 15 days after state of emergency ends.

More info here:

You cannot renew it before running out but as long as you renew it within a year of it running out you are okay so wait until we get back to normal all they will do is backdate it from your old license I used my out of date licence for 6 months before renewing it .
