That is very optimistic.
I expect pubs to open when a vaccine is developed. At least 1 year.
If they open pubs earlier, the infections will quickly increase.

That would be great if it took a lot longer..... many bar owners I know makes me hard thinking they are now ruined !!

It's irrelevant when the bars are allowed to reopen without the customers having the confidence to return in their droves it will make it nigh impossible to have a financially viable business and it will not be worth the headache of opening too soon ... I can see a slow staggered reopening of venues over several months  and maybe upto 2 years + for Pattaya to return to its former glory days ....and many bars will never reopen again.

Question is how many will reopen?

Damage will be considerable...

I agree......I've seen conjecture that many will be taken over by big investment groups who will still have funds.

That would NOT be desirable - here in UK we've lost many of the old independent pubs which are now owned by breweries or turned into fancy restaurants.

Not good

I would guess July. Keep these same measures in place throughout May and then gradually begin opening up places like shopping malls, offices etc from June.

Schools and work places would be best to get things rolling, with bars and malls last.

Same as the airports and mass tourism. The bars are irrelevant, when countries like China are quarantining people for 2 weeks they won't be going anywhere any time soon.

It would have been Peroni, Moretti and Merlot but got stranded here. Chang will have to do.

Peroni is a winner.

They used do it on tap at my local back home.

That and Staropramen.

Well I hope for your sake its before the Premier League announces that the 2019/20 season is null and void.

Ouch that will hurt Liverpool fan lol. Maybe not as much as if Klopp had not whinged his way into a winter break Liverpool would have already won the League lol. (sorry mate, couldn't resist) Even worse it could be cancelled and he can't drown his sorrows !

I think they will be open in May but with permanent restrictions; social distancing, no alcohol, no food etc.

Why would any owner open his bar (pub) if he could not sell alcohol?

Like opening back up a Starbucks, but it won't be selling any coffee - haha
