Running in time of Covid / Rant

Featured Replies

There don't seem to be many runners amongst Thaivisa members.

I'll ask the question anyway. Has anyone else noticed that there are a lot more Thais running recently? I usually go at 5 am, and until recently I rarely met anyone else running/cycling.

So on Sunday I met FIFTEEN  people exercising. Five at least are health workers, and very nice they look too.

Dark.

ONE was wearing a mask.

NO runners were running against the traffic.

NONE of the groups were distancing from each other and certainly not from me.

MOST had dark clothing.

NONE, repeat NONE of the cyclists (or runners) had lights. Evidently they think that as I'm on the wrong side of the road it doesn't matter. I have started shouting at these guys, they just laugh, fair enough. I bought a ฿40 LED lamp.

I'm pretty sure that if anyone gets stopped by the police for not wearing a mask (I wear one on my chin just in case I meet someone that looks nervous about me), it will be a Farang like me.

Our village has exploded with people exercising of an evening... Used to be just us, the 2 dogs and a couple of others.... And the kids are all in groups having a great time....
