Europe COVID-19 cases almost at one million, coming weeks 'critical' - WHO

LONDON (Reuters) - Europe is currently in eye of the storm of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of cases nearing a million, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) European regional director said on Thursday.

 

“Case numbers across the region continue to climb. In the past 10 days, the number of cases reported in Europe has nearly doubled to close to 1 million,” the WHO’s Hans Kluge told reporters in an online briefing.

 

This meant that about 50% of the global burden of COVID-19 was in Europe, Kluge said. More than 84,000 people in Europe had died in the epidemic, he said.

 

“The storm clouds of this pandemic still hang heavily over the European region,” Kluge said. While some countries were entering a period where they may be able to ease restrictions gradually, “there is no fast track back to normal”.

' Normal ' as it once was , is gone and will probably never come back , as there are more and more  indications that the Virus is here to stay .

Reinfections of cured patients and indications that the virus becoming ' dormant ' but staying in the body are on the rise .

As an example flu vaccinations are required yearly for those at risk. Nothing wrong with Gates being an entrepreneur. Unlike some, putting money where his mouth is.

You really do need to do some digging into where Bill puts his money and why. So do I, by the sound of it. So please. . . where, exactly, are yearly flu vaccinations "required" for those at risk?

I do believe you're just being argumentative, but just for you a rephrase... strongly recommended for those who meet the relevant flu risk profile e.g. in Australia there are advisories in medical centres and most pharmacies

For those jumping on the Gates' vaccine conspiracy, remember, this guy makes $Billions every year sleeping. He has no need for a "home run" from his 7 vaccine factories. What motivates guys like Bill at the point he is at is his "legacy", which is what I believe he is trying to cement. He is trying to go down in history as something other than a nerd.

 

We are about to find out what this younger generation is made of. Are they going to cower under the shadow of this virus, or are they going to muster up the courage to live life. Viruses exist, people die. The question is, how are you going to live? With courage or fear?
