Fake Bailey's ........

1 teaspoon red cup coffee, 2 teaspoons Milo 3 in 1, fill to 1/2 cup with hot water.

Add 3 teaspoons sweetened condensed milk and 80ml Hong Thong rum (or or SangSom or whiskey), throw in blender with ice, whizz until smooth.

Serve over ice, best drunk quickly while it's still smooth and frothy (usually not a problem).

Candidate for Post of the Year. ✌️ (Apparent swipe at TV's resident Ned Flanderses is entirely coincidental.)

By the way, what is red cup?

In theory an alcohol ban was probably a good idea, but in practice everybody knows what is going to happen, a lot of dry citizens are going to be buying alcohol like there is no tomorrow when the ban is finally lifted. There will be belated parties, friends meeting up and drinking a skinfull and basically making up for lost time. Whereas if there hadn't been a ban in the first place people would have just have carried on as normal and just enjoyed a quiet drink at home.

Yes, it was very kind of them to announce the ban the day before so that everyone could go out and bulk buy.

Are there any other countries in the world (excluding fully dry countries) that are imposing these childish bans on their population?

They really do treat the masses like complete plebs.

Hong Kong, South Africa, Greenland, some regions in France, are examples of other places that have banned alcohol.

Stop whinging - it's only until the end of the month providing there are no upward infection spikes. Whereas farang behaviour is not really party-minded, thai social behaviour tends to lead to many people congregating - even at temples. Give them whisky, and it's an excuse for a binge up with family and friends and neighbours - any one of whom could be carrying the virus and infect others.

And that's not knocking thais or farangs -it's normal society upbringing.

Control, control, CONTROL!!

Why would any of you/us think that there was any reasonable logical explanation?

To control where the poor spend what little money they have, perhaps to ensure it's spent on food and essentials?

Also to test our resolve and what degree of resistance - before they take away the next simplistic or basic right.

Maybe next it's power outages so we've no Internet?  Water shortages done already.

the ban came right after all the stories about the Thais partying till all hours of the night during curfew.

that is why it was banned.

This would make sense except pretty much every Province started their bans at very different times .

Hmmm, as my daily body requirement is of 400 ml of whiskey. Guess will just have to invest in a calculator and multiply the rest of the ingredients by 5????

Let's see now.

There is a curfew.

I am social distancing

I have to eat home (restaurants are closed)

Thailand does not do comprehensive testing covisd-19

I cannot buy alcohol to drink in my own house.

6 million thai people have no job.

You don't alcohol to cause domestic violence

Still yet to be given any reason as to why only Thailand needs to impose and now seemingly extend an alcohol ban whilst other nations do not.

Edit: The alcohol ban over Songkran made sense to stop parties. That has now ended.

Not in Pattaya, when Songkran is usually dragged out until about the 21st, but I know what you mean an agree.

This ban isn't all about falang lol it's about the Thai population. You know the people of the country you live in

As a permanent resident here now for 10 plus years with family, job, WP, etc., I am a member of the population.

Some provinces are yet to make an announcement regarding an extension to alcohol bans but it is highly likely any ban will be extended to April 30 for all provinces nationwide.

Sounds like Thailand need to open plenty of AA clubs ....... forget about drinking & driving that’s just stupidity ! Businesses will close as a result of this ban. Still don’t believe enough being done to test people for the virus ‘ banning alcohol sales for a further 2wks just wrong when other countries around the world are just making people stay at home without alcohol bans. Next Thailand will ban food delivery’s
