I got to the stage where I would ask companies who wanted my business where their call centres were based.

Although that didn't always work, one time I got an Irish chick who was incomprehensible.

Actually a common one is mispronouncing Pattaya.

Sorry, but it seems like British who do not get it correctly as the Thais prefer.

 

It is Paaataya.

Not Patty-ya.

 

I have never heard a Thai say Patty-ya.
