Hi there! Welcome aboard the good ship "Bedlam". No mutinies allowed, or Cap'n will have you keelhauled.... What are those little orange pills, again, Nurse?? ....

Another inmate. It's getting crowded in here! Help, I can't breathe...

I refuse to :o:D

Did you read the hilarious jokes i left in your arsenal thread then Mig?

What are those little orange pills, again

Tictacs

(there is a Beckham joke just waiting to flood in :o

Ah Thaddeus,

Thanks for dropping by my thread, welcome!

Just for your future reference (incase you want to show off your Klingon lingo in front of your friends once more) Goodbye is spelled 'Qapla' rather than the fish based soup you mentioned 'kha pla' or 'Tom kha pla' given it's full correct name.

Many thanks for playing though :o

The insertion of the word 'Tom' is fairly important.

The Klingon language is frequently misinterpreted, in the same way as the Thai language ...... mai pben rai can mean many things, it varies by the situation.

One thing that Kha Pla has never meant is 'good bye' .... it's more of a 'yes boss' .... 'whatever you say' .... phrase, and really has little to do with soup.

Welcome to Bedlam :D

Okay. We were good in welcoming MarkR but I think we've now gone waaaaaaay off topic, discusssin g nuance of the klingon language.

Earlier, I did look up some klingon english translators, but none had the words I was Looking for.

Which is probably just as well, as this thread isn't complying with the rules.

CLOSE IT!!!!!!

I didn't really have a clue thaddeus, just a bit of friendly banter, I thought it could be klingon and googled it!

Take care :o

Mark

Welcome to bedlam - I think you'll like it, I think you belong (with apologies to Alice Cooper - Welcome to my nightmare)

No worries mate ..... as I said before (in a roundabout way) enjoy the friendly banter in Bedlam (but keep an eye on the public forum too)

And just for CB ...... "School's Out" :D

And just for CB ...... "School's Out" :o

And for my ex wife "billion dollar babies"

Great guitar work and excellent songs - saw him live (once) in Chicago for the "welcome to my nightmare show - massive show brilliant. Did a lot of stuff from killers and school days too.

I remember when he and Ted Nugent decided to partner up for President and VP in the election - they had a really funny campaign and only started to get worried when they thought they may get past the primaries

Ah, good to have another Oxford connection on the forum, welcome on board!

This is of course true, I could do with a little help on the Oxford Thread in the Football Forum :o

BTW Mark, not Cumnor Hill by any chance?

Moss

Not quite moss but I drive up cumnor hill(bypass) everyday! I have a wonderful view of most of oxford and of oxfordshires most beautiful feature.... Didcot power station!

I'm in grove, so Ive got oxford to my left and the vale of white horse to the right, ..it's nice :o

mark

Ps I dont get to the kassam much cos i work saturdays and the time off I do get is spent watching the spurs, but I do live two houses away from Les phillips if you can remember the milk cup winning oxford side in 1986? Bit before my time, i was only five but he's a top bloke and bit of a legend where i come from.
