Domestic Helper Seeking Work

Featured Replies

Just posting this in the hope that someone is currently looking for a domestic helper.

My sister in-law will be finishing up her work at the end of this month and will be seeking work as a domestic helper and/or nanny. She has 10 years experience in the business and has mainly worked around the Sukhumvit area. She would prefer to work in the Sukhumvit/Silom/Ratchadapisek areas. Ideally live out and six days per week. Without meals provided, her asking monthly salary is 11,000Bt.

She does not speak English and interpretation can be provided immediately by myself by phone (I live out of Bangkok) at any time. Generally domestic help work is quite repetitive so hopefully it won't be an issue once she settles into a routine.

Most importantly, she is hardworking, loyal and honest.

If anyone is interested feel free to reply to this post and we can take it off-site from there.

Have you considered putting her on the BAMBI website? I do think that her lack of English would be a drawback and the amount she is expecting. That is an awful lot of money, even for BKK!

Good luck

Thanks Leisurely. Have just been over to BAMBI and it seems like it has been revamped since I was last there so we will definitely look at giving it a go. Yes English is an issue but hopefully we can work around that. She is making 10k Baht (including food) with her present Thai employers so while not on the cheap side we don't feel the salary is out of line either but I'm sure she has some flexibility on that. Thanks for again for the BAMBI tip.

What is the BAMBI website?

Thanks.
