Thailand’s tourism and MICE business will first reboot with low-risk countries

When Thailand’s international borders are prised open, sometime after July 1 this year (that’s the current date anyway), the first tourists and travellers are likely to come from a select group of fellow Asian nations who have had either low Covid-19 cases or been able to manage the number of cases to low, manageable levels.

Social media users warned after company fined 50k THB sharing beer photos on Facebook

A popular fan page on Facebook that talks about issues related to beer has warned the public that even posting a picture of a beer or a glass of wine you are having with your meal could be construed as advertising and promoting alcohol. Even if that alcohol was bought perfectly legally.

Chulalongkorn University prof warns of second virus wave, advises govt to crack down on unsafe gatherings

Chulalongkorn University professor of medicine Dr Thira Woratanarat criticised the unsafe gathering of people as a high-risk factor for contracting Covid-19 and suggested that the government take action against venues or places that allow such events to be organised.

TAT to discuss redirecting international bookings for domestic trips to boost tourism

PHUKET:-- Immigration officers are hunting for a Thai woman and three Nigerians wanted for scamming people in at least four provinces, including Phuket, in a confidence racket that so far has amounted to B280 million being moved through an account used for receiving payments from their victims.

Police told to investigate ‘rape’ of Bangkok student by taxi driver
