Yes you are right it makes sense for the imported products but for example the price of the yogouhrts, made in Thailand has been increased from 48 bahts to 54 bahts last week for a pack of 4 They were already, but now they are definitively far more expensive than they are in my country of origin (France). That is only because the greed of the richest man in Thailand has no limits He increased prices with 10% when he took over from Casino, in between decreased the portions of ready-made foods ( Thai produce) that have a fixed price per portion, and now recently increased prices again including all Thai produce. Look at eggs and bread for example, they have been discounted during the covid situation in about every supermarket in Thailand, but at Big C they have increased. They have to blame something or somebody, normally this would be a foreigner but as there's inconveniently no foreigners to blame due to quarantine procedures they've decided to blame a foreign fish. The answer is known about where this came from but the sources are not reliable news networks. One story I read was about someone driving to Beijing and then becoming ill. This was a week or so before the market incident. Where you detect it first - that's almost never where it started, you need to trace it back from the point of first detection.
