I don't know if it's linked but i have noticed a massive increase on

the salmon price in Big C extra in Pattaya since few days

Also a general increase of 5 to 10% on the price of most of the others procucts.

Air freight costs more due to the lack of flights.

Yes you are right it makes sense for the imported products

but for example the price of the yogouhrts, made in Thailand

has been increased from 48 bahts to 54 bahts last week for a pack of 4

They were already, but now they are definitively far more expensive than

they are in my country of origin (France). Ununderstandable.

Same as they did with the outbreak in Wuhan ... in January fools like this called that exaggerated too and look where it got us. There is only 1 thing the rest of the world should do: keep the Chinese out.... but of course as Thailand wants to become a new province of China they can let these "healthy" tourists in. I for one will stay out of this land of lies.

Cheery bye.

Asia for the Asians.

"Chinese health authorities suspect salmon imported from Norway or workers carrying the virus who were not detected to be the source of the new outbreak".

Freezing a virus is the perfect way to preserve it, that's how they store samples at places like the CDC.

However the source of the COVID on this cutting board is going to have been the person cutting up the fish

They're blaming it on salmon from Norway - it's how the Chinese work.

fish are highly unlikely to contract the virus, but fish or fish products can become contaminated like any other surface.

what are the odds a whole frozen fish from norway was contaminated by an infected fisherman or dockworker or factory worker?  pretty unlikely, i'd guess, but would it be at all possible?

So many anti-China farangs here but not a single one knew the right questions to ask?

What's the strain of the virus? It's a European strain by the way.

The salmons arrived without any packaging?

The virus is only suspected - which means nothing in reality.

Norwegian Salmon is sent in polystyrene boxes with ice.

"anti-china farangs" !

Wonder why that should be.....?

The answer is known about where this came from but the sources are not reliable news networks.

One story I read was about someone driving to Beijing and then becoming ill. This was a week or so before the market incident.

Where you detect it first - that's almost never where it started, you need to trace it back from the point of first detection.

Things will become clearer over the next few days.

Anti-commie is the new normal. Me likey.

What is likely the G614 version was spreading in from China's North-East a couple of weeks ago. It's only a matter of time before it comes to SEA through Russia and China.

Keep the CCP worshippers in China and the borders closed, it will buy some time.

Want Thailand to be the exclusive playground of the farangs? Yes, the colonialist or imperialist mindset still persisting.

What's with the persistent belief among many farangs that the Thais get nothing from Chinese tourists? You fellows are going nowhere, trying to perpetuate that myth. You can't change the fact that the Chinese population is HUGE, really HUGE, and so the number of tourists from there would always be HUGE. There's nothing you can do about it.

I take it from your post that you haven't talked to very many regular Thai people about how much they like the Chinese tourists.
