Rubio: Trump is serious about buying Greenland
The CCP is not to be trusted when it comes to northern shipping routes. They have already gained a foothold in Canada in the last 10 yrs which sets a dangerous precedent. No wonder the USA is concerned and wants to nip this in the bud. -

Two Brothers Killed in High-Speed Crash on Their Way Home
Pictures from responders. Two brothers lost their lives in the early hours of the morning of 31 January, after their pickup truck crashed into an electricity pole in Krathum Baen district, Samut Sakhon. The crash occurred at approximately 03:30, on Economic Road, inbound to Maha Chai, near a Toyota Sure dealership in Khlong Maduea subdistrict. Police officers, medics, and rescue teams rushed to the scene, where they found a heavily damaged Isuzu D-Max pickup truck from Bangkok wedged against a electricity pole. The vehicle’s rear cargo cage had detached from the impact, landing almost 100 metres away. Debris and vehicle parts were strewn across the road. Inside the wreckage, two men were found dead: • Wisarut 21, a water delivery driver, who was in the driver’s seat. • Kittiphop 20, his younger brother, who was in the passenger seat. Rescue workers used hydraulic cutting equipment to extract the victims. It took nearly an hour to remove Wisarut’s body as the driver’s side was crushed against the pole. Their grieving family members and friends arrived at the scene, struggling to comprehend the sudden loss. Friends of the victims revealed that earlier in the night, the brothers had visited a friend’s home in Soi Wat Khae Rai, just a few kilometres away. Wisarut had been feeling unwell and took a nap while his younger brother socialised. Later, they left together to drive home to Soi Wat Ban Bo. Heartbreakingly, the brothers had been planning to enter monkhood next year alongside their youngest sibling as a tribute to their parents. Now, only their surviving brother will be able to fulfil that wish. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the cause of the crash. Investigators suspect that the vehicle was speeding, or that another vehicle forced them off course, leading to the devastating collision. The bodies have been sent to Siriraj Hospital’s Forensic Institute for autopsy before being released to the family for funeral rites. -- 2025-02-01 -
