I want expat insurance, but I have and pay for GREAT insurance in my home country (US).  just need something for Thailand -- I will go back (US) if I need long term care.

 

Any policies you can recommend?

 

We are both on retirement visas.  Don't need the O/A coverage.   Just travellers insurance for accidents.

Do you need general coverage, or do you want specific insurance that is required by immigration to renew an OA extension of stay?

For health insurance, Pacific Cross is popular, April Intl is cheaper but read the small print carefully, other companies available

Best to go through a broker. OP has some pre existing conditions which will be a constraint.

I agree with Sheryl. I have used AA since I came to Thailand in 2007. They speak English and can do all transactions by phone and email.
