Lol! As if the EU did not think of doing it before. ????

All your commonwealth countries already have or are going to have an FTA agreement with the EU.  There are also FTA agreements with Japan, SK, Mercosur, Mexico, Chile, Mediterranean countries, etc...

The only significant 'original' deals the UK can still conclude are with the USA (good luck with that) and China (but don't send Royal Navy ships to patrol in the South China Sea).

Yes, our masters of tough negotiations have already indicated that they will bend over backwards (Figuratively anyway) for a US deal, which is still insignificant compared to what we have already.

Sadly some posters are still desperate to believe that the EU is in trouble without the UK. The mess of Brexit and the obvious economic damage, (Already costing us almost as much as our entire EU contributions from the start) clearly looks to have brought the EU closer together.

"The survey also found support for EU membership had increased across the continent, despite some predictions that Brexit would trigger a wave of opposition to the union in other European countries. All the countries surveyed saw support for EU membership rise:

there was a 12% rise in support for EU membership in Finland and an 11% support for membership in the Czech Republic, and In Britain support for membership has risen by 7% since the previous survey in 2017."

Have your Brexit, but please avoid the fantasy world where

"It's going to hurt them more than it hurts us".

You could go and discuss it with Alice (In wonderland) if that makes you feel better, she would probably tell you to grow up and stop being vindictive.

Why is it that so many of those vehemently against a full proper clean whole independent Brexit are not even UK citizens?

As noted #73 ????

The only compromise that the remain camp would accept seems to be to set aside the referendum and general election result and remain in the EU.

It is something of a binary issue after all, "Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?" 52% ( a clear majority) said leave. There doesn't seem much scope for compromise there.

Well, this election was built on lies. And now you are still follow the top liar. Funny these little islanders.

Did anyone explain that to them, because they appear to be under the misapprehension that nonparticipants opinions even matter.

weird

arguments and topics and discussions(slogans really) same same now as before the referendum 4 years or so ago

'bout time UK leaves coal and steam age behind and start to look forward, no EU membership,

what now? what are the sensible steps and directions to take?

focus on smth relevant rather than recent history,

near future is more important than last week.

Well just look at Tvisa history for the standard reaction and venom to those who announce they are 'leaving' a 'group' so no surprise

Barnier is the one mouthing off that the UK will 'suffer most' if he fails to negotiate a deal which appears to be the likely end result. Not great statesmanship from an arrogant failure.

The 'top man' resigned almost immediately after the vote!

He reverted to his previous role, a  nonentity.

His words have no credibility.

A prime ministers words have no credibilty because he is not saying what you want to hear. His words were spoken before the referendum informing everyone of the outcome of their choice of vote and just because you don't agree with the democratic decision of the British people matters not one jot, that is the outcome. Remember only 34% voted to remain.
