Don't worry boys the University of Queensland, Australia for those that don't know, is making a vaccine then we can all go back to dreaming of bedding young Thai girls again.

A fine institution. Enjoyed my studies and parties there

again more doom feed of MSM increases fears but  where's the report on decreased deaths. give the whole news not just cherry picks for the narratives

Deaths are coming - they just lag a little bit. But as soon as someone quotes MSM in their post, any response is a waste, because conspiracy types will only accept information that fits their Trumpian narrative.

But on the plus side, you can save money by buying smaller masks when you only breathe through your mouth.

Congratulations, Florida! I am sure that with the valuable help of the all-knowing and most intelligent president you CAN remain No 1 in the Corona deaths race. Do as your president says and america will stay the Best and  the Greatest when it comes to deaths of Corona and other stupid actions.

For most of Floridians, if the Corona doesn't get them, they will most likely go as a result of a selfie accident, or some other Darwin award end.

Can't see the bulk of these anti-maskers, nor much of trump nation, taking a vaccine? I mean, unless they want to be tracked by Bill Gates.

You can be tracked by your mobile phone for decades.

Deaths can't decrease, the won't get alive again. They can only go up. Can't even believe I am reading this nonsense.

ok, but how many are in hospitals now or have died ?

if they would test more people in thailand, the numbers WILL / WOULD go up

There would be the same people in hospital, which is less than 80.

Not a fair comparison. Murder kills people, which is why it is illegal. There is no credible evidence to show not wearing a mask kills anyone, except possibly the wearer.

That you don't read scientific papers doesn't mean it isn't there.

I've read lots of them and quoted them in past postings. Have you?

Have family in Florida and they are worried about finding care if they do catch it.  Hospitals are filling up in their area.  Guess the hoax theory goes out the window when hospitals start maxing out ICU. It’s all a hoax until it effects me.  In time I think it will effect all of us in one way or another.

Leadership in the US is at an all time low and it’s leaders views have infected the world. I hope the virus ends soon in America both political and medical.

Wearing face masks reduces spread of the virus, which saves lives.  Your "no credible evidence" claim is delusional.

"Yes, face masks combined with other preventive measures, such as frequent hand-washing and social distancing, help slow the spread of the virus."   https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-mask/art-20485449

"At the beginning of the outbreak, public health officials thought that the virus was primarily transmitted by people touching contaminated objects or surfaces and then touching their face....But it has become clear that contact with virus-laden objects isn’t the major way that the coronavirus passes from person to person, says immunologist Robert Quigley....That explains the reasoning behind the CDC’s recommendation that everyone wear a mask in public: The covering may lessen the risk of mask wearers who don’t know they’re infected from passing the virus to someone else."https://www.sciencenews.org/article/covid-19-coronavirus-why-wearing-masks-controversial

"Face mask use could result in a large reduction in risk of infection (n=2647; aOR 0·15, 95% CI 0·07 to 0·34, RD −14·3%, −15·9 to −10·7; low certainty), with stronger associations with N95 or similar respirators compared with disposable surgical masks or similar (eg, reusable 12–16-layer cotton masks; pinteraction=0·090; posterior probability >95%, low certainty)."  https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31142-9/fulltext

Almost every article and news report mentions the decreased death rate, and details the potential reasons. Maybe read past the headlines?

Two points:

some pointy-headed science-y types mention that death rates/tolls may increase, lagging the increase in cases.

surviving Covid may lead to long-term health impacts for individuals.

So if you're hanging your hat on "fewer deaths", congrats for being so crass, and thank you joining us in hoping any deaths can be avoided
